Evie has been practicing Yang styleTai Chi since 2007. She achieved certification to
teach beginner Tai Chi classes in 2013. She credits Tai Chi practice with
improving strength and balance in her own life. She appreciates the inner peace
and sense of calm that occurs while focusing on the breath and the movement.
Tai Chi is good for improving balance, reducing stress and anxiety, toning muscles,
improving cardiovascular health, sharpening mental focus and slowing the aging process.
Evie is excited that Harvard Medical School has recognized the value of including Tai Chi
in patient treatment. Harvard professor, Peter M. Wayne, PhD authored The Harvard Medical Guide to T'ai Chi which was published in 2013.
